This is a blogpost that I filmed myself from my trip to Sweden. As a person, I have always been fascinated by the contrasts in life ,e.g. happiness vs. sadness, light vs. dark, chaos vs. structure. In many ways, the contrasts that we experience in life are essential ingredients because they make life so magical, if we manage to let go and just go with the flow. That’s how I feel and my trip to Gothenburg confirmed this belief. This blogpost was filmed after a hard day of filming, not much sleep and I also had to rush to take a train back to Copenhagen. But I decided to grap the camera (even though the battery only had 5 minutes left and shared my emotions at that time.

Carriene from our team has once said that we’re living in a microwave society. I agree. Everything has to happen so fast and we want to have the result immediately. Have we lost the virtue of patience? And what happens when we forget it?

For me, the journey of developing Make Change TV as a social business is also about my own personal development. In this blogpost I want to share with you about my process of practicing patience. I truly believe that in order for us to create a sustainable world, we need to be sustainable from the inside as well. And the art of being patient is something that we all need to practice. All is possible, just not at once .

A new year has begun and I would like to start it by sharing with you some of my personal thoughts about holistic development. For me, 2012 is really a new start in many ways, especially choosing and committing myself to live my life in a way where compassion, caring, love and peace will be the intention behind my choices. So holistic development for me is also about seeing beyond the “good” versus the “bad” in this world. It does not mean that I accept all the bad things or situations. It just means that I simply recognize its place as it is in a bigger picture and do my best in choosing and creating the goodness in life, personally and also professionally.
